Our Story

Balance School of Performing Arts first opened its doors August 2015 in the heart of Penticton. Owners Ashlie Atkinson & Chip Sfat dreamt of opening a school that offered all aspects of the performing arts world. They both come from very different artistic backgrounds and were excited to blend together and share what they both learnt from their years of experience as students, performers, and teachers.

Balance School of Performing Arts is a place where your dancer will thrive. It is a positive, nurturing environment that meets the dancers where they are at. With a wide variety of classes available to choose from, both recreational and competitive groups, you can find the right fit for your child. The skilled instructors provide a safe environment for their students to explore the art of dance and perfect technique. Ashlie and Chip are passionate about what they do and anyone who steps inside their studio will feel this amazing energy. At Balance, they are growing well-rounded dancers who respect and love the art of dance!
